Schools across Caerphilly County Borough are being encouraged to take part in the 2026 School Sport Survey, launching on Monday 13th April.
Delivered by Sport Wales and supported locally by Sport Caerphilly, the survey will be open to pupils in Years 3 to 11. Each school will receive a unique survey link directly from Sport Wales, along with full guidance on how to take part.
Taking place every four years, the School Sport Survey plays a key role in understanding how children and young people engage with sport and physical activity, helping to shape future provision both locally and nationally.
The survey supports the Curriculum for Wales, giving schools valuable insight into pupil voice, including the activities pupils enjoy, what they would like to try, where they feel most comfortable being active and how sport impacts their wellbeing.
Every participating school will receive a tailored report, helping them to plan and develop their sport and physical activity offer based on real feedback from pupils.
This year’s survey is the most accessible to date, with additional language options, audio support, British Sign Language, Makaton and Easy Read formats, alongside an improved interactive design.
Schools that complete the survey by Friday 5th June without additional support from Sport Caerphilly will be entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win up to £250 worth of sports equipment.
The survey will close on Friday 17th July 2026, with results helping to guide future investment and activity across Caerphilly and beyond.
The survey supports the council’s Sport and Active Recreation Strategy, focused on increasing participation and improving opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities.
