Members of Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Cabinet have visited the new Caerphilly Leisure and Wellbeing Hub to see the latest progress on the development, which is due to open in March 2027.
The project continues to progress well and remains on programme, with work advancing across the building and throughout its internal spaces.
During the visit, Cabinet members saw how the new facility is beginning to take shape and heard about the work underway to create a wide range of leisure, fitness and wellbeing spaces.
Once complete, the development will provide modern and accessible facilities for swimming, fitness, sport, play and relaxation, creating new opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities to be active.
Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Leisure, said: “It was fantastic to see the progress being made and how the new facility is beginning to take shape. This is a major investment in the health and wellbeing of our communities, and we look forward to opening the doors in March 2027.”
The development forms a key part of the council’s Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029, supporting its commitment to creating modern and accessible facilities that help residents lead active and healthy lives.
