Residents are being invited to pick up a racket and enjoy free tennis sessions at five park sites across Caerphilly county borough this September.
Barclays Big Tennis Weekends offer people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to try tennis for the first time, rediscover the sport or enjoy playing with family and friends.
Each event will run from 10am until 12pm:

Rhymney Tennis Courts – Sunday 13th September
Morgan Jones Park, Caerphilly – Sunday 20th September
Blackwood Showfield – Saturday 26th September

All sessions are free, with no booking required. Simply turn up and take part.
Cllr Chris Morgan, Cabinet Member for Sport and Leisure, said: “These free sessions are a great opportunity for residents of all ages and abilities to try tennis, get active and enjoy time outdoors at their local park.”
The events are open to both new and returning players, offering a fun and accessible introduction to tennis within local communities.
The Big Tennis Weekends support Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Sport and Active Recreation Strategy 2019-2029, which aims to encourage healthy lifestyles and help residents become more active, more often.
